ORDINANCE NO. 1, SERIES 2008

 

AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A PAY CLASSIFICATION PLAN

 

            WHEREAS, the City of Pewee Valley hereby establishes a pay classification plan for all city employees and non-elected city officials, in accordance with section 31.02(2) (b) of the City’s codified ordinances,

 

            NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PEWEE VALLEY, KENTUCKY,

 

SECTION 1

 

Position                                   Entry Level                                         Maximum

 

Clerk                                       $10.00 per hour                                   $15.00 per hour

 

Police Chief                            $15.00 per hour                                   $20.00 per hour

 

SECTION 2

 

            Particular pay for each employee as well as additional employee benefits shall be established on the date of hire and reviewed as part of the budget process each year at a minimum.  Each employee’s pay and benefits shall be detailed in writing and with the recommendation for or against by the Mayor, approved by the council by resolution.

 

SECTION 3

 

            This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage and publication as required by law.
