children in crisis
The City of Pewee Valley will begin regularly sponsoring families in need. Click here for the September/October Needs List.
This is in response to the Assistant Superintendent of Oldham County Schools Dan Orman’s discussion at the March city council meeting. We are asking for civic and community groups, churches, and individuals to provide support to our children and families in crisis by donating clothing, non-perishable goods, and volunteer time. We will try to sponsor a family each month attending to their specific needs. Information will be published in the Call of the Pewee and on the City’s website. Items can be dropped off at Town Hall from 9:30 to 12:30 Monday through Friday. (Or you may call Town Hall--241-8343--to arrange for a drop-off time or schedule an individual pick-up.) Our community has a history of generosity and I ask for your support.
